Harvest season: rice pours into a waiting trailer
Paddy streaming from a combine’s unloading auger quickly filled the trailer at the edge of the field.
Close-up footage shows golden rice grains pouring in a steady stream from a combine harvester’s unloading auger into a trailer, throwing up small clouds of dust as the load builds.
In the second part of the clip the combine and the grain cart travelling alongside it come into view together, the two machines moving in tandem so the harvest does not stall.
Agricultural economists note that machinery and haulage costs at harvest time have a direct bearing on farm incomes.
